SMS/Messaging Policy

1. Overview

QMODI INC (“Qmodi,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) may send you text messages (SMS/MMS) as part of our transportation management platform. This policy explains what messages we send, how you opt in and out, and your rights regarding SMS communications.

2. Types of Messages We Send

Qmodi sends the following types of text messages:

  • One-Time Passcodes (OTP): Verification codes required for secure login to your account
  • Account Notifications: Important updates about your account status, security alerts, and password changes
  • System Alerts: Service-related notifications such as maintenance windows or feature updates
  • Job Application Communications: Application status updates, employer contact facilitation, and job-related notifications for users who opt in via the job application form at /jobs

3. Opt-In / Consent

By creating an account on Qmodi and providing your mobile phone number, you consent to receive text messages from us for the purposes described above. For OTP login verification, providing your phone number and requesting a login code constitutes your express consent to receive that verification message.

Job Application SMS Consent: When applying for a job through our job board at /jobs, you may opt in to receive text messages by selecting “Text Message” as a preferred contact method and checking the SMS consent checkbox on the application form. This is a separate, standalone consent that is unchecked by default. By checking this box, you consent to receive text messages regarding your job application, including status updates and employer communications.

Consent is not a condition of purchase or employment. You are not required to consent to receiving SMS messages as a condition of purchasing any goods or services from Qmodi, or as a condition of employment. However, OTP verification messages are required for account login security.

4. Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on your usage:

  • OTP codes: Sent each time you log in or verify your identity (typically 1 message per login)
  • Account notifications: Occasional, as needed for account security and important updates
  • System alerts: Infrequent, only for significant service-related events
  • Job application updates: Occasional, based on application status changes and employer responses (only if you opted in)

Message and data rates may apply to any messages sent or received. Please contact your wireless carrier for details about your text messaging plan and any applicable charges.

6. Opt-Out

You may opt out of receiving text messages at any time by replying with any of the following keywords to any message you receive from Qmodi:

  • STOP
  • STOPALL
  • UNSUBSCRIBE
  • CANCEL
  • END
  • QUIT

After opting out, you will receive one final confirmation message acknowledging your request. No additional messages will be sent unless you re-opt-in.

Please note: If you opt out of OTP messages, you may not be able to log into your account via SMS verification. You can contact support@qmodi.com for alternative account access methods.

We take your privacy seriously. Regarding your mobile information:

  • Your mobile phone number is used solely for account verification and system communications
  • Your mobile information will NOT be sold, rented, loaned, traded, leased, or otherwise distributed to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes
  • SMS originator opt-in data and consent will NOT be shared with any third parties
  • We only share mobile data with service providers essential to delivering SMS messages (e.g., our messaging platform provider)

9. Carrier Disclaimer

Wireless carriers, including but not limited to T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon, and other major carriers, are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to effective transmission from your wireless carrier.

Our SMS service is compatible with most major US wireless carriers. If you experience issues receiving messages, please contact your wireless carrier or reach out to us at support@qmodi.com.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this SMS/Messaging Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of SMS features after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
